Wilmington Schools
Wilmington School System is the largest district in Clinton County and encompasses 166 square miles that include the City of Wilmington and a number of townships. The graduation rate is 94% and 76% of graduates go on to college (the state average is 40%) In addition, 65% of teachers have a master’s degree. ACT scores consistently rank higher than the state and national average.
Clinton County Schools
The Clinton-Massie School System encompasses the major population center in Wilmington, Ohio. The Clinton-Massie School District earned the rating of “Excellent with Distinction” from the Ohio Department of Education. This distinction is based on academic success, attendance, drop-out rates and graduation rates. Clinton-Massie was the only district in Region 14 to meet all 26 standards and the only district in the region to earn the Excellent with Distinction Rating. The District has integrated technology into the classroom. The district has gone to a 1-to-1 program for net books for students in grades 6-12. Every student is given a net book to use for educational purposes.
Blanchester Local Schools
Blanchester Local Schools provides education to1,879 students in Blanchester, Ohio. The district includes 4 schools (2 elementary, 1 middle schools and 1 high school). The school district is ranked among the highest systems in Ohio. The graduation rate is 96% which exceeds the state average. The student to teacher ratio is 15:1 while the state average ratio is 17:1.

The Clinton Country History Center is where you will find much of the country’s history. The Meriam R. Hare Quaker Heritage Center is dedicated to celebrating the history of the Religious Society of Friends. The Peace Resource Center features the largest depository of materials outside Japan relating to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima/Nagasaki.
The world’s oldest and largest museum, The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, located at Wright –Patterson Air Force Base, is open every day and free. Learn how Ohio helped foster the movement of slaves from the south during the Civil War at the Underground Museum at the Freedom Center. The Cincinnati Art Museum includes an extensive permanent collection of fine art.

Wilmington College has graduated liberally educated professionals since its founding by local Quakers in 1870. It hosts 1,100 students at its main campus in Wilmington and another 400 in two Cincinnati degree completion programs at Blue Ash and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Most popular main campus majors include education, athletic training, agriculture and business administration/economics. The College competes in 21 sports as a member of NCAA D-III and the Ohio Athletic Conference. WC consistently ranks in the top tier of U.S. News & World Report’s Midwestern Regional Liberal Arts Colleges.

University of Cincinnati is an Ohio public university with an enrollment of 42,000 students and is the second largest university in the University System of Ohio. The Princeton Review ranks UC as one of the top public universities in the United State. UC offers 308 fields of study with a 15 to 1 student/faculty ratio. UC garners nearly $550 million per annum in research funding and ranks 22nd among national universities. With an economic impact of over $3.5 billion per year, it is the largest single employer in Cincinnati.

The University is a private catholic university located in the heart of Dayton, Ohio. Student enrollment is approximately 11,000.
The research arm of University of Dayton’s (UDRI) employs over 400 engineers. UDRI has conducted over $1 billion in research. In Ohio, UDRI is the top non-profit institution that receives contracts from the Department of Defense. In 2010, GE Electric the construction of a new $51 million research facility on the University of Dayton campus. The Center will be used for the collaboration between University Researchers and GE to create new electrical power technologies.
The Entrepreneur Program is ranked #4 in the country by Princeton Review and Entrepreneur Magazine. The Engineering Program Graduate program ranks first among all Catholic Universities. UD is #1 among Catholic Universities in non-medical research and #2 in materials research funding.

Wright State University is a public university with an enrollment of 19,000 students. Located just outside of Dayton, Ohio, it is less than 45 minutes from the Wilmington Air Park. Wright State offers 91 baccalaureate degrees and 76 graduate degrees.
